I always enjoy being in the mountains... and this hike was pretty ok.... but with the other options in the area I can't say I would repeat it.
12m - 5100ft - 6.75hrs
Hiking on Last Dollar Trail Dallas Peak comes into view
After 3.3 miles of hiking I busted up through the woods to find this meadow and followed the grassy gully to the ridge
Looking south to the Wilson Group
After slogging up the grassy gully I gained the ridge and the view to the short and easy class 3 section comes into view
Tough to see but the route is on the right and was marked with cairns
Looking back to Mt. Emma
T 0 looking proud with it's cool hoodoos
After climbing over the class 3 section 12er Campbell comes into view.
Pano: Campbell - T0
On the summit of Campbell looking to T0
L2R: T0, West Dallas, Dallas
Mears Peak is a real eye catcher
Looking east towards Sneffels and the Yankee Boy Basin 13ers from T0's summit
Looking back down at Campbell and across to the Wilsons from T0
I did not want to hike back down the grassy gully so I opted to explore my way back and take the SE ridge then cut across to the Sneffels Highline Trail
Looking east to Mount Emma on the way down
Looking back up to T0
After following faint trail segments on the way back I finally found the Sneffels Highline Trail.
