A nice little quick hit from Clinton Gulch Reservoir on the north side of Fremont Pass on Highway 91.
I have always felt a little sad for Bartlett Mountain being mined so agressively. I have put off climbing it as it's legality is questionable and it just doesn't look like a great climb. At least in the summer. Who likes adventuring in a mine?
Well... that has all changed for me now. I am impressed at how gorgeous the Clinton Ampitheater is. Bartlett has a great setting. Bartlett's north face is also stunning and it is a really fun place to ski. Hopefully Climax slows it's roll on tearing down this mountain.
I have skied Bartlett twice now. Once ascending the north ridge and another booting the north couloir. I prefer ascending the couloir as it is more direct and protected from the wind.
This gallery contains images from both of my Bartlett outings.
